The short question is. If I have two servers each with a zwave stick and NVM backup and zwavejs docker container configured (and their storage synched) and only run one of the containers at a time - will this work? Or does the radio stay on regardless of whether zwavejs is running? Running both at the same time would be a disaster I think and will not do this? In other words does stopping zwavejs turn the stick off from a zwave network perspective.
I’m asking because, I’m am going to be migrating my zwavejs-ui container from a Synology 6.x NAS to a Synology 7.x NAS. I’m aware that there are USB driver issues on 7.x, hence I want to test the network on 7.x with easy ability to fall back to 6.x. My current NAS is also old, so due for a refresh.
So rather than pulling the stick out and swapping it between computers. I’d just leave the sticks plugged in. I often have to reboot the NAS after pulling the stick to get it running on TTYACM0, Synology does not have the by dev id for usb.
