2-way dimming of 2 dimmers using Candeo RD1

I’m trying to control two bedside wall lights from a dimmer near the bedside and a dimmer by the door. Specifically I want to control both lamps using a single dimmer by the wall. I.e. when I walk in the room, I want to be able to turn both wall lights on with a single dimmer by the door (as the low light option in the bedroom). Alternatively, the two wall lights can be controlled independently by a dimmer by the bedside.

I don’t think the non-smart (?) companion RD1 will work as the door switch. I think it would be possible with two dimmers by the door, but not one (or at least nothing in the documentation suggests it is possible to hook one companion up to two RD1s). The other negative with the companion is that I think it requires a physical wire between the companion and the master (more wires for the electrician).

So, my plan is to use RD1s on the bedside controls, and use an RD1-pro by the door as just a smart button. Because it is smart, I think I can make it trigger any event using home-assistant. A positive here is that if I get another lamp in the future, I can hook it up to the same event (if it is smart).

I wanted to get a sense check on this before I get the electrician to fit the barsware. Has anyone tried anything similar before? Is there a simpler way that I’m missing?
