I have ethernet cable available in that area. What are my options with HA to add second Z-wave controller?

1. POE controller + Z-Wave JS UI (connecting to controller via TCP serial) running on a host somewhere
   • Z-Wave PoE Kit – TubesZB
   • PoE Z-Wave 800 and ZigBee 3.0 Network Unit
2. An SBC (e.g. raspberry pi) or mini-pc using a USB controller and running Z-Wave JS UI

In both cases, a second Z-Wave integration connects to Z-Wave JS UI.

I’ve never heard of anyone adding a second z-wave controller.

It may not be common, but there are a non-zero number of users doing so.

I also do this for testing purposes, e.g. one network is the normal production one, 2 or 3 for testing.

Multiple Instances of Z-Wave JS UI

Multiple instances of Z-Wave JS UI's on Windows

Hello - so close but just one remaining issue to leave Homeseer. Best way to run Z-wave USB stick & Z-net device together

Looking to migrate Z-wave network to HA, have both a Z-net and USB stick. I installed JS UI & Zwave integration and got the Z-net moved over without issue. What’s the best way to get the USB stick network into the mix? Do I need to install JS alongside JS UI to control it, or is there a way to run a second instance? I read about the additional capabilities of UI, so does this mean I’d have to decide which network gets those extra things while the other doesn’t?

How do I connect HA to a rPi running ZWave-JS-UI elsewhere on my lan?

I have 3 buildings with zwave sensors. They are too far apart to be a single zwave mesh so each building (house, garage, shop) has a rPi running ZWave-JS-UI each with an Aeotec zwave stick. Ways to run a 2nd add-on for zwave-js-ui?

I want to add a second z-wave controller away from my main house controller (for Long Range). The Home Assistant Z-Wave integration supports multiple “hubs” so that doesn’t seem like much of a problem. But I need another instance of zwave-js-ui to manage the controller. One option is to run zwave-js-ui in Docker on it’s own server (e.g. Raspberry Pi) and then add a hub with a url like: ws://my-remote-zwave-js-server.local:3000. I am extremely new to HA but I will try and explain my best. I am running HA on a RPI5 in our house with a Zooz 800 installed using the Z Wave JS UI add on.
