2 ZBT-2 adapters not working together

'm running into the following problem.
I have two ZBT-2s for Home Assistant.
Home Assistant runs as a VM on Proxmox.
Using the GUI, I first created one USB port based on the device ID.
When I received the second device, I wanted to do the same, but discovered they had the same device ID.

Is it possible to change the device ID of the ZBT-2?

The big problem is that Proxmox can’t handle 2 devices with the same ID

To use coordinators with the same ID you need to setup another instance of HA and use the remote home assistant integration to pull those entities into your primary instance.

Not true. Use physical port mapping:

https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/USB_Physical_Port_Mapping#:~:text=From%20Proxmox%20VE,3%20See%20also

I’ll have to test this with virualbox at somepoint see if it will see 2 zbt-1’s since I have a spare one since I can assign ports via the gui interface like so

I forgot about the port mapping until now.

For now, it seems to be resolved by merging the comments above.

It’s been running for over 24 hours without any problems.
The only thing I’ve changed is that the two ports I forwarded are behind a different USB controller on the physical server.
This was previously the same USB controller (though it had two physical ports).

I also solved the problem by using usb by port not by device on proxmox. Zigbee and thread working fine. BUT: now I have the problem, that only 1 zbt2 is showing as a device. The zbt2 with thread fw is showing just fine as a device and I can see firmware update etc. the second zbt2 with zigbee fw is only showing under zha but not as a device like the thread zbt2. So I won’t be able to update fw on the zbt2 with zigbee fw because it is not showing as a device for its own.
