2025.12.0 - How to globally turn off the new built in dashboards?

How can I globally turn off those new built-in dashboards Lights, Security, Climate??? I have built my dashboards over years to my needs and I don’t need those 3 built-in dashboards at all. I want to disable them globally so they don’t clutter the sidebar…

BTW: Who had the glorious idea to make those appear globally without any visible way of configuration or control over them???

Huh, luckily clearing the cache and force-reloading made them disappear… I was already preparing for a family mutiny because of stuff suddenly appearing and confusing them…

You can hide them in the sidebar:

Unfortunately there is no way to remove them completely. 2025.12: Triggering the holidays 🎄 - #12 by tom_l

Please fill out the dashboard feedback survey in the release blog post. 2025.12: Triggering the holidays 🎄 - Home Assistant

That would have been annoying if I would have needed to do that for every user. Luckily I didn’t.

It looks like you can also unhide them in the sidebar without restriction. I’ve already had my kids unhiding it, and messing around with each others lights, when they normally do not have access through the dashboard.

I can imagine it being even worse for the security one.

Yes this a horrible for feature. I want to delete the dashboards, not hide them… Especially not having to log into 25 users and turn them off one by one in each account… … Where do I upvote this as a priority fix

There’s a dashboard feedback link in the release blog post.

Keep in mind that HA currently so not restrict access to any device or entity to anyone, regardless of what are the dashboard they can access in the UI. So even before this, you’re kids could have found a way to access each other lights, it was perhaps not as straightforward.

There were promises in the roadmap to improve this, but well, so far nothing happened as far a I’m aware.
