I’m running Core 2025.11.3. I can get 2025.12.0 to 100%, HA restarts, and then when everything comes back up… I’m still on 2025.11.3 and the upgrade notification persists.
Nothing in the logs matches anything relevant for search terms core, upgrade, 2025, 12, etc. Not seeing anything there.
Once the bar got all the way to the right HA restarted. It did take unusually long to come back up… at least 10x typical startup time. No real change from steady-state VM resources. Once everything is loaded, HA is as responsive as ever. Just sitting at 2025.11.3 with an available upgrade to 2025.12.0 still showing.
If I knew what to look for in the logs, I’d post it. For the record… this is the first time I remember having an issue upgrading HA Core in 4 years or so.
I should note that HA restart times when I’m not attempting an upgrade to 2025.12.x are typically pretty quick. For example, I just upgraded the NR add-in and HA restarted fully in around 2 minutes or so.
It’s only when I attempt an upgrade to the latest HA Core that the restart gets dragged out.
Just as a test, I tried to upgrade in Safe Mode. I don’t think I’ve done this before and am not sure if it’s actually a good idea… but that’s what backups are for. Anyway… same result: prolonged journey to 100%… unreasonably long restart time, and still on Core 2025.11.3.
