2025.6 Beta week

we are still a week away from release…

I wouldn’t want to have to wade through all the Beta posts just to learn how the final release is going. Many things will no doubt be fixed. And if a few aren’t, I’d hope that some learning has occurred along the way. Posting concise, updated information in the release thread would be more helpful to anyone who might have the same issue than making them start back at the beginning here.

yeah, not saying my ask was a perfect solution, I was just looking for a nice way to connect the two.
maybe a simple line in the release blog post linking to this beta thread would be enough: those interested could simply click to navigate here, and no need to redo a lot of writing.

I notice I don’t have access to the beta channel mentioned in the OP (“Invalid invitation”).
I would like to report a potential issue on the Amazon Devices integration as recommended by his author here.
How would I do that?
Thank you!

You report issues through GitHub. However if you don’t have access on discord, that means you didn’t do the discord onboarding correctly. I’d revisit the server guide section in discord.

I googled and ended up on Home Assistant where I was able to log in :tada:
I’m currently browsing the channels to make sure my issue hasn’t already been reported.
If not, I will head to Github.
Thanks!

Today I learnt that as well as Sidebar Settings, there is planned changes to defaultPanel to be stored in user profile. While I am not against that change, it is very late in the piece to to included in the 2025.6 release that is a day away when the PR for the change is still to be reviewed. Being an active contributor to Browser Mod, I took time to get ready for the Sidebar settings changes. However there is now next to no time to consider the changes the new PR will bring in to change already made, let alone what it means for handling the defaultPanel changes. This should be delayed to a June point release.

May’s release as an example, when I link to the release blog post in my closing comment, it shows up as a link to the beta thread just below the OP.

Not perfect, but there’s definitely a breadcrumb trail one can follow if they are so inclined.

suppose you’d best post that in the Discord #beta channel.
Missy can bring across your worries, but the Discord is also very active and responsive

edit

I see you commented in the PR itself, which is even better…

in latest beta the repair is visible

FYI, the “this stops working” part is wrong and will be addressed before release.
