šŸ’” (2025 Update: We are back!) Awesome HA Blueprints: A curated collection of blueprints for Home Assistant. Reliable, customizable, fully tested by the community

I’m not sure if you are the same guy that posted a request on EPMatt’s repo, but you can do it by adding custom actions. Just make sure that you don’t assign a custom action to a button that is being handled by the light hook itself. To be safe you can assign double press actions to the left and right arrow buttons, because as far as I recall the light hook doesn’t assign any double press actions to the Ikea Styrbar.

Could someone please send me screenshots of their configuration of a Styrbar control that can turn the light off and on, dimm it and change the colours (rgb)? I just started with HA ans Zigbee2mqtt and I can’t do it right so help would be much appreciated!

Just want to say thank you Matt and Yarafie for the blueprints and updates

Thanks @epmatt for these amazing blueprints! Love how they integrate in HA! I just got the Sonoff SNZB-01P because I thought the blueprint was already available. But oversaw the new version ā€œPā€ at the end. The Z2M Documentation of the SNZB-01 is very alike the SNZB-01P (see top link) documentation - is it hard to add a controller for the SNZB-01P? I’m quite new to this with a little help how to do this I could try and help adding that blueprint too. Is it hard to do that or what do I need to do?

Dear all, I have found these truely awsome blueprints only recently and I have set up Ikeas Rodret and Styrbar contrllers quick, easy and with the virtual double click event which I use to change the target of the controller (for instance double on → control window opening/closing; double down → control blinds). Now I wanted to change my Philips Hue RBL021 from my own old automation to the blueprint because I like to use the double press event which I cannot create myself. But unfortunaly, I cannot get it working with the blueprint either. The helper-txt is showing two separe presses all the time. I did activate the double press event, and I raised the double press time and tested debounce times, also I tryed using the press-release as trigger for the normal routines, but that didn’t work either. I keep getting separate presses in stead of a double press.

Here is the resulting automation, please have a look, maybe you spot anything I’m doing wrong?

Have you tried asking ChatGPT?
He is pretty good at spotting typos, narrowing things down and putting you back on the right track.

Oversaw this Pull Request to add support for the SNZB-01P so my question is not relevant anymore. Looking forward to this being merged :tada:

Thanx for the tip.
Unfortunately, chatGPT comes with non-sugestions like the sequence preventing the actions, or that I set ā€˜stop_actions = true’. But when I choose just one simple action like turning a light red, and set stilop_actions back to false, it’s still not working.
The problem is the detectoren of a double click itself. When I raise the press delay up to 1000ms and the denounce 500ms, still two separate single clicks are detected in stead of a double.
So I’m stuck. I hope it’s working for you, but for me, it’s not…

I just released on my fork Awesome HA Library 1.0.

Haven’t had the time to update the documentation, but take it for a spin. It sets the foundation for @epmatt vision he posted a few posts above.

I’m sure there are a few bugs here and there, but mostly everything is working.

Hello guys, I’m new in the comunity of HA, I got 3 ikea tradfri 1743 and I wanted to use this blueprint but the double click is not working, it seems that the tradfri 1743 doesn’t send clicks instantly, if I click 2 times in less than a second, z2m only receive one click in the logs. Does someone know what is happening ? Thank you guys !

I think I found a bug with the Ikea E1743 On/Off switch controller Blueprint.
I was not able to dim my lights with a long press through the ZHA integration, while all the other commands work.
With my E1743 button (might be HW or FW version dependant), a long down press returns the following deserialized value :
move_MoveMode.Down_83_0_0
This should be added as an entry in the list starting line 239 of the Blueprint.

FYI, here is the ZHA event when I long press the ON/OFF button:

And the corrected Blueprint:

I believe I fixed this in my fork.

You can try the blueprint from the link below.

Let me know otherwise.

Try the blueprint from my fork and play around with the helper_double_press_delay increase/decrease probably increase it.

The ikea e1743 doesn’t have a true double press so it’s emulated virtually. After the first press, the automation waits for the set delay for another press. If it doesn’t receive a second press within that window it assumes a single press, if it does then double press.

Don’t forget to expose the double press when setting up the automation from the blueprint or go back and edit the created automation and enable it.

For those of you using the light hook from EPMatt’s Repo, you may be facing a problem after updating to HA 2026.3.

color_temp was finaly deprecated and removed and replaced with color_temp_kelvin as part of data call to light.

I have fixed this in my fork version 2026.03.11.

So No comments from Anyone?
I know people have been downloading from my fork, would love any feedback.

Having an issue with my lights using an Ikea 5button remote. I can get them to turn on/off but my brightness increase/decrease doesn’t seem to be working. I added the blueprint from @yarafie but still can’t get them working. Not sure what I’m missing.

Created automation from EPMatt’s blueprint. Added Hook - Light from @yarafie and linked it to the automation built from EPMatt’s blueprint, but can’t get brightness control to work, only on/off.

EDIT:
The controls seem to work for all but this particular light. I cannot adjust brightness on it with button presses. It’s a Tuya light if that makes any difference. However, I can use the developer tools to initiate the commands for brightness and the light responds accordingly, so it’s something with the blueprint/automation that seems to be the issue.

First, if I may suggest, don’t mix blueprints use both from my fork to rule out any issues.

Post both the generated automations for the controller and the light hook.

I’ll try and help as much as I can.

Just created an account to show my appreciation. Wife and baby are happy again with working dimmable lights enabling both reading-time and sleeping-time! Kind regards!

am I missing something @yarafie ? There is no way to search your website?

Hi does anybody know if you can also toggle the light with new Blueprint, i am no using the EPMatt’s on but there i see only a button on or off in the helper, trying to set another action in the controller blueprint did not help?
