About admin-only visibility - we are on it, it will come in the next release. We will add the “set admin” toggle in this dashboard, same as other dashbaords.

in new Overview (the one that is not customizable) is not present yet. You can un-default it, but not hide it from anyone else that is not an admin. It will now.

I have been Worried ever since these were Presented, Last Year, This Release just , “knocked me out” ( as i for month have tried to “raise” attentions to possible consequences )
Would You consider and Option on these Dashboards to “Remove” Individual Entities, Which are, or might not be “relevant” for anyone ?
The method for hiding entities remains consistent with the previous dashboard: simply uncheck the “Visible” switch in the entity settings.
That this visibility setting is global User-level visibility is not supported at this time as it requires a RBAC implementation, which is not currently prioritized in the roadmap.
Since the primary goal of this dashboard is to reflect the full home structure, visibility options are intentionally limited.
Seems you did a very methodical troubleshooting already, well done.
Do I gather correctly that when you upgrade the add-ons (apps) are still enabled? Can you disable them all before attempting the upgrade and retrying? Just the same way you did it earlier.

Did Calendar colors actually make it in? I can’t see any way of adding a colour in my setup??? Also, no mention of it in the Calendar integration docs.

It seems that several people have already commented here about the default dashboard changing.
I use a yaml defined dashboard and when I updated my test instance it came up with the new overview dashboard. I needed to go to my dashboards section and set the original yaml dashboard as default again.
I’m not sure why it did but it did nonetheless.
Since I’ve already fixed the bug in my test instance I don’t think I can recreate it. So I’ll have to wait till I update my production instance to see if the bug bites me there as well.
you mentioned something about troubleshooting. Where exactly are those troubleshooting steps for this behavior? I’d obviously like to help squash the bug but since it’s my production instance I don’t really want to futz around too much with the dashboard after the update. So what information will you need in the bug report to help you?
Uhh, I cried a little reading this, but at least we have some “official” confirmation that the work on this is not even being planned yet.
I was hoping for some better news, since “improve privacy for user, guests and pubic access” was marked as “next” in the roadmap shared in November 2024 (and it was included under “later” in the previous map shared few months earlier). Sadly the last roadmap (from May 2025) introduced some other items and this seems to have been pushed back, and now we know there was no change since then.

Select the calendar entity. The gear wheel. There you will find the calendar color.

I do so hope that dev is hearing us scream out for this and oidc support. Have been for two years and quite honestly we’re now behind the rest of the world. Passkey (very easy auth) and tightening down so we CAN give a dashboard to a guest without worry (RBAC) would do more for adoption than colors.
You’re doing a great job. Don’t hear anything else. But man these priorities. Please send feedback up chain.

I Know, However, I have no intention To Manually “Hide” +30 Dozen or more entities ( I wont to be able To Control which Entities that ever have to end up in a Dashboard. )
( I Thought also that was the “Neat Thing” in The Integration Pages , “Do You want To ADD This To A Dashboard ?, Please Choose a Dashboard” … Redundant Bullock Now ?, Everything ends up in a Dashboard Now, And in one and Same
I Doesn’t even know Why this “Visibility Feature” was implemented, Maybe someone needed to hide a few Entities, From ALL People , however it doesn’t seems to work on user-created dashboards !, I don’t find it a “Neat Feature” for a larger Install. ( You do know that i.e A Switch, on these New Dashboards is Just a “Faulty/Unintentional” Touch away On a Phone, People might not even Noticed it, ,maybe they were putting their phone away, or what ever, They happened to Touch the Button, They didn’t noticed, And was giving NO warnings … Shit happens,
Even when you have your Phone in your pocket, sometimes when you pick it up, You’ll se that “Somehow” you have managed to open various APPs, and even clicked/touched deeper, Called someone, taken a “pocket-picture” … Never happend to you ?

Public access, better support for wall tablet, guest mode, is definitely something that may come in the future.
But, fine permissions to choose entity access for each user is not something on the roadmap and it would be highly difficult to build and maintain.

I admit I’m quite confused now, because I thought those things come together. I mean, public access? Why would anyone do that if that’s exposing everything.
