When the devs see no one using an integration, it becomes a candidate for depreciation.
Not really, it requires a bit more: code owner abandonment, not working/high issue count, and low use.
Thanks for another great release! On thing I am having an issue with is I tried to create an automation with a sunset trigger but cannot find a way in the visual editor to add an offset. Previously the sunset screen had the offset option on the screen.
Any help would be appreciated. I know I can edit in yaml but that seems counter the new design.
It has been reported as an Issue in Home Assistant's Frontend repository.
Great! Thanks for sharing that. Guess I didnât see that because I was searching for âSunsetâ and not âSunâ.
OK thanks for letting me know - that notification was confusing! They have gone away now I've fixed the one that must have been the trigger.
Same here. I was on 2026.6 and planning to take an update break for a couple of months.
After reading about the absolute time format in 2026.7 release notes, I decided to update. For me, it's the most exciting change in the new version.
Thanks, I'd never noticed that! I thought I'd tried every combination.
While I like improvements, again, one here is removing just the basics.
Now, I just see that an automation was triggered, well thanks, but I know that, but I can't see anymore WHY it was triggered. And that's the thing I need here.

An automation engine thinks in primitives. People donât. You think âwhen the front door opensâ, âwhen the last person leavesâ, or âwhen a battery runs lowâ.
Not to be that guy, but there are in fact a significant amount of people that do think in primitives.
Those people tend to be the ones actually building the infrastructure. e.g., Home Assistant.
Of course it is clear what that sentence is supposed to mean within that context, but a "most" would not have hurt. Like this, otoh, it kinda does.
Don't forget your roots, HA.
I have the same issue, but I cannot click more... I use a template to detect is the shower runs or not. Now I dont see anymore why it was triggering like before, only if it is on or not...
This is not good...
Those activities do not have context, meaning they wouldn't have shown up in the previous system either. The only change was to the display, the under the hood information still remains the same. I.e. that wasn't changed. The activities tab on the side will show the old information fully written out. (Click show more next to activity)
In the previous system there was a lot of information there! Water flow level, boiler status, lights in off, all leading the the state of the entity! Now there is, indeed, not so much...
You're thinking of another page or you're mistaking attributes from the activity log. The only update this month was to the "look" of the activity log in some spots. Pages were not moved or changed.
A couple versions back, the attribute page was moved to the 3 dots. Also, just understand that the attribute page was only visible for certain entities, binary sensor was not one of those entities.
Dont say what I am thinking, I used this every day to see why and how long the triggers worked towards the status of this template sensor! Now I cannot see this info anymore. It now only shows the history (cleared/detected), no triggers anymore.
By all means, please downgrade and show a screenshot of that exact page in the old version (the more info page for the Douche 1 entity). If there's a bug, there's a bug that can be addressed.
Has anyone had the GitHub say it cannot authenticate when going from version 2026.6 to 2026.7.1? I am using a HA Yellow. This happened a year or two ago also and I had to skip the whole months version and then the next months version it worked.
I can restore "settings and history" what happens... never did that before, will it break my config?
You can use that to downgrade if you want. It will restore everything at that point in time. You can also use CLI to downgrade to 2026.6.4 through the SSH app (addon). That will simply downgrade HA without touching any of your configuration.
CLI via SSH app
ha core update --version 2026.6.4
