2026.9 - Homematic button not working after the update

After updating Home Assistant Core from 2026.8.3 to 2026.9.0 / 2026.9.1, the devices (HmIP-PS-2 9YM — outlet / S60ZBTPF — outlet) no longer work via the Homematic button, and the automations are no longer triggered.

Automation / connection as follows:
HmIP-WRC6 Homematic button connected via openCCU (CCU3 Homematic)
S60ZBTPF from SONOFF connected via Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 (ZigBee)

After rolling back to Home Assistant Core 2026.8.3, the button works without any issues.

I hope the issue will be fixed in the next update.

Share the automation, maybe we can see the problem.

Chances that an update broke a zigbee device and not the whole zigbee integration are pretty low. More than likely it’s something in the automation that will no longer work, and if that’s the case, there will be no fix.

Hopping in here aswell since all my HmIP-WRC2 have stopped working after the update. I can see the indicator showing Orange → Green that shows they can reach the OpenCCU. A sample trigger:

triggers:

domain: homematicip_local
device_id: a2025eef3029a1297b95eb2eababa741
event_type: homematic.keypress
address: 0041E0C9B04DE9
model: HmIP-WRC2-A
interface_id: RaspberryMatic-HmIP-RF
type: press_short
subtype: 1
trigger: device
