2026.9 version and daikin integration issue

I have 3 daikin ACs. Two using a “faikin” module and one with the official one.
Today, after upgrading home assistant to the latest version, the AC with the official wifi module is no longer working properly. It allows start and stop, but not to change mode. Modes are listed (dry, cold, warm, fan) but I cannot change it. It’s stuck on “cold/warm” mode.

After forcing a downgrade to the previous version (2026.8.3) all went back to normal.

Is it only me or is it a documented bug?

Same here with the official module. Troubleshooting…

With 2 people having similar problems with the same official integration, someone should add an issue…

merged into HA dev:

this version also killed my infinitive (hacs) connection. The thermostat control just shows a blank with “unavailable” where the temperature should be. In my case as well, updating core back down to 2026.8.3 fixed the issue.

for those reading this that don’t know how to back out of an update, you can install the terminal&ssh add-on (recently rebranded as “apps” in the settings page), and do it from command-line within the terminal. For this particular case enter the command:

ha core update --version 2028.8.3

usually fairly safe, just be conservative about how far back you go.
