24V AC cabling

Hi everyone,

I’ve found a 24V AC wiring setup in the apartment I bought that controls potential-free relays for things like lighting.

I’d like to make the system smart now and am looking for relays (24V AC) that I can install in a flush-mounted box or, if necessary, on a DIN rail.

So far, I haven’t been able to find anything suitable.

Does anyone have a tip for me?

However, this relay requires 250 V AC to operate. It can switch 24 V AC, but only if it is supplied with 250 V AC.

Manual says Power supply voltage AC: 110 - 240 V which should cover US and EU standard voltages. The thread i sent you, they are using 110 VAC to power the device, but it’s your project.

thanks, yes, but I need 24V (not 240V).

The full size Shelly 1 and 2 (not the Minis and Pros) can be operated at 24V - if they fit sizewise.

it looks good at first glance, but it doesn’t have Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or anything like that.

Mains powered Shelly devices have Wi-Fi and some (newer generations) can be set to Zigbee.

For Z-Wave Shelly has the Qubino Wave 1 and 2 (not Mini and Pro) series.

Oh. I just saw you mentioned 24V AC… The Shelly devices are all for DC.
Are you sure you meant AC and not DC? I don’t know any 24V AC powered smart relays. The Shelly 1 (not PM or Pro) have a dry contact which can switch that, but cannot be powered by 24V AC and need a seperate power supply.
