Hello,
I am a complete idiot and am locked out of my 2 Factor Authentication for my HA instance running HA OS on a Beelink. I am able to log into the CLI using a monitor and keyboard but am too dumb to know what command lines to type to allow me disable the 2FA for one login attempt.
Can someone please provide a step by step list of how to fix the issue by disabling 2FA eith CLI commands.
My configuration:
Home Assistant OS V.13.1
Please help,
The village idiot
Even in a panic, search is such a wonderful feature…
Sorry - I’ve no idea what a Beelink
is, nor if 2FA changes credential reset as BitWarden works great (even FOSS self-hosted).
Hint: Create a SECOND admin account with 2FA and save the details.
Beelink is similar to an intel NUC just a small computer really. Anyway 2FA is 2 factor authentication and I lost my google token.
I was able to reset the passowrd but it does not solve the issue for 2 factor authentication. I beleive there is a way to get rid of it by changing a config file byut I dont know what CLI commands to input to complete that task.
How would I go about creating a second user with admin privileges using CLI?
Can someone provide a step by step instruction set for I could achieve the following in command line CLI: for a HA OS installation.
disable the Notify MFA module by editing or removing the file [your_config_dir]/.storage/auth_module.notify
.
