3 pin pc fan control via mosfet

Hi all,
I am interesting in building wemos d1 tasmota controller for the 3 pin arctic f14. I see here long discussion about that but no finalized schema. Can anybody share here working and stable schema? I am sure it will be very useful for all. The above mentioned github resource is either removed, hidden or just transformed into something else, but not available for sure.
I would use Mosfet for my schema but there are tons of practical obstacles.
I will appreciate any advice and wil be very happy to see good, proved working schema here.

Author was using 4-pin fan, so you would not benefit from that anyway.

I happened to use this module recently.

I initially tried driving it directly with an ESP GPIO pin, but that failed.

I then asked Gemini, and it told me that 10V was required to drive it.

However, my fan was powered by 5V.

So, I used a 2N7000 transistor,

and it worked perfectly—the ESP GPIO could drive it directly.

Yep, the module i linked needs >6V supply.
For low power 5V fan transistor is good choice.

And all is working fine and stable. But, during the summer there is no use :grin:

But yeah, I use a 4-pin connector. Coincidentally, I just had a discussion with Claude about replacing the step-down (12 → 5v) pcb for a compacter one. This would dramatically shrink the board. But.. first they have to start failing :face_savoring_food:
