I’ve been working on a custom integration for 70mai dashcams with the 4G module and wanted to share it here.
It uses the same cloud API as the 70mai mobile app and currently exposes things like:
- GPS position
- car battery voltage
- network / SIM information
- firmware versions
- parking photo, when available
- alarm events with position and media URLs
Configuration is done from the UI and it can be installed through HACS as a custom repository.
I’ve only tested it myself with an A810 + 4G module, so I’d be very interested to know if it works with other 70mai models.
One limitation: the 70mai API seems to allow only one active session per account, so opening the mobile app temporarily invalidates the Home Assistant session. The integration handles this automatically and reconnects after a few minutes.
The API is unofficial and reverse-engineered, so things may break if 70mai changes it.
