911 Dispatch Open Sourced for Home Assistant / HACS - Looking for Beta Testers

Hi All

15 years ago I chased off burglars from my parents’ house. Last year I went on to build AI for 911 centers.

Now I’m trying to solve a problem that’s been bugging me ever since: 95% of home alarms are false, which means real emergencies get a 15+ minute response - if the Police even come.

We’ve built a Midnight 911 Integration for Home Assistant to serve the US and Canada:

  • $10 /Month per Home w/ Identity Verification
  • Professional Security Monitoring, calling you within 30s
  • Privacy First - only your Name & Address is sent to 911
  • 911 Location Integration (i.e. address populates in their GIS maps)

Future Features we’re thinking about:

  • Support Smoke & CO Alarms (i.e. Added Fire Response capability)
  • HA Entity Context to 911 (i.e. they know what door, window, room triggered)
  • 911 CAD integration (i.e. it auto populates in their dispatch systems)
  • 911 Video integration (i.e. you can chose to send video of bad guys)

How is alert verified (stage 1) before call to owner (stage 2) before call to 911 (stage 2)

What is “privacy first” in this context?
If you have my name and address what else is there? Also “Identity Verification”?

How my address land on their map? (Stage 2)

Appreciate the questions! Here’s

  • Alert Verification: The Integration allows you to customize Automations, with the address in HA and our Webapp geocoded to verify the proper location.
  • Privacy & Identity: We’re not sending anything outside of HA, except the trigger. Our Webapp allows users to verify their name, email, and phone with Stripe using a Gov’t ID. That and the home address is all that’s sent.
  • 911 Map: We’ve contracted with a company serving 99% of 911 Centers in the US, who will place the alert in their screens and the Security Monitoring Agents beforehand.

We’re actually beta testing this with 911 Centers too - its been a fun project.
