A Problem with zigbee2mqtt

Hello everyone,

I use zigbee2mqtt but I get the following error messages terribly often (see attachment) can someone explain to me how this happens and what I can do about it!! I can’t seem to solve this! It’s driving me crazy!!

Thanks for every response.

If it’s intermittent, chances are it’s a Zigbee network issue (too much noise or not enough routers, etc.). Or the device isn’t listening for the set message, as might be the case with a battery-powered device that only wakes up when it needs to.

Z2M can not reach the devices on your network.

This document will give you some pointers on how to make your zigbee mesh network more reliable: Zigbee network optimization: a how-to guide for avoiding radio frequency interference + adding Zigbee Router devices (repeaters/extenders) to get a stable Zigbee network mesh with best possible range and coverage by fully utilizing Zigbee mesh networking

Thank you for your response.
Indeed, this is about sonoff trvzb. Hi is right next to a repeater, but it still doesn’t work. Where should I start looking?

Start with the resources that tom_l posted.

There are a lot of variables that go into network issues, so it’s not something that people can walk you through step-by-step any better than those documents can. Feel free to ask questions on here if you aren’t getting any luck.

  1. Fully remove the device from your Zigbee network and restart Z2M(!).
  2. Do a reset followed by a re-pairing of that sonoff trvzb at the location it is installed.

This is how I solve erratic behaving Zigbee based Sonoff devices and it usually works out well with Sonoff.

Thanks for all the responses. I think it’s solved. I want to test it for a few more days to see if it continues to work well. What I did is move the Combee II stick further away from the PC and I think everything is much more stable now. I hope it stays like this for the next few days.
