I am remodelling an apartment in Europe which will be rented out to tourists for short stays. I’d like to set up HA to control the AC mini-split units, e.g., to turn them off when nobody is in the flat or the windows are left one.
Being really new to HA and the whole automation topic, I’d like to ask for help: Can you recommend brands/models (or point me to what I should be looking for when shopping), such that I’ll be able to control the AC unites remotely and automatically only using wifi? I should avoid those IR controllers which mimic the remotes.
Tips on what sensors to use to detect whether people are in the flat or not are also appreciated.
