Accessing Grocy via Tailscale/Android

Hi there! So, I have HAOS installed on Virtualbox. I have the Grocy addon and the Tailscale addon.

When I’m on-network (at home), I can get to everything as expected. When I’m off-network (at the market or whatever), I enable Tailscale, and I can get to HA, but not Grocy. (Yes, I did all the API QR scanning and stuff).

From Tailscale on Android, I can see my phone, my server, and my HA instance; they’re all green. I assume I should see my Grocy instance there, as well, yes? Maybe? And that’s as far as I can figure.

Any kind soul out there give me that last push to completion…?

Merci!

In HAOS, Home assistant itself runs as a container. The Grocy addon is a separate container. So is the tailscale addon, however that one is configured to point to the home assistant one.
Basically, your tailscale doesn’t show you the network Grocy is running on.

Try going to the configuration options of the tailscale addon and check the ‘Show unused optional configuration options’ option. It will allow you to specify what networks to publish. With the help of the tailscale docs you should be able to publish the network Docker is using for the containers.
