Accuweather forecast condition: exceptional?

Accuweather is reporting the current weather conditions are “exceptional”:

forecast:
- datetime: '2023-01-30T13:00:00+00:00'
  precipitation_probability: 12
  wind_bearing: 344
  condition: exceptional
  temperature: 20
  templow: 7
  wind_speed: 13.8
  precipitation: 0

I can’t find the term “exceptional” on their website or anywhere in the API condition docs. Anyone seen this before? Could it be related to overloading the free API tier? Although I would expect errors, not undocumented conditions with the rest of the forecast in place.

NB: It’s cold here but nothing really out of the ordinary that I would consider the conditions to be exceptional…

Thanks in advance, ~tbk

Exceptional is listed as current condition for HA Weather…I have been trying to find what that them means but to no luck. It does seem to be a ‘standard’ thou, just with no explanation.

Did you ever figure this out? Using for Tesla Solar and Powerwall off-grid automation only when its sunny, partly cloudy, or…exceptional?

This description indicates exceptional weather conditions, currently there are 3 situations assigned to it, severe heat, severe frost and icy conditions.
