Allready since a few weeks (and a few versions of HomeAssistant, now on 2024.12.1)
I have this problem:
for the actions ‘SWITCH’ I am not able to select an entity / device
(i also have this problem if I use Node-Red)
Rebooting did not solve the problem.
That is correct, i don’t get the bottom part…
for other actions, like ‘input.boolean’ or set number, i do get the bottom bit.
only for ‘switch’ actions it is not there (same behaviour when i use the ‘action’ node in Node-Red)
Looks like a bug.

You say a few weeks, but asking anyway. Some weirdness has been known to be caused by different browsers and by the stuff in a browser cache. Have you tried to clear the cache and tried other browsers?

i did try using different browsers / clearing cache.
It’s HomeAssistant OS running on Proxmox. Rebooting It did not solve the problem.
problem is now at least there for several updates of HomeAssistant (I think since 2024.10)
Same behaviour on NodeRed
Also node-red gives me some warnings using webhooks (not working on nodered, they don’t get ‘registered’:
this while the current version is: 18.1.1
Like said before, I have the same problems with the node-red integration as with the action in an automation:
I do still have node’s that are working fine like the ‘switcht’ when I open the node, nothing is selected as entity anymore, but it still works (as long I don’t change this node, the moment i try to select an other action, and turn it back, i can not select an entity anymore and it is not working anymore.) I first long thought it was a ‘Node-Red’ problem. but since it is the same behaviour on the automations (for some actions i can select entities, for some not) I think this has more to do with a HomeAssistant bug. The only strange thing is why only I have this bug…
