Hi,
I have used my Raspberry 3B and hass.io for a while and use Resin OS. Before I have seen the Bluetooth addon in the Add-On-Store but now when my Mi Flora arrived that plugin in gone. After some googleing most say that Bluetooth in activated automatically now but I think that iss HassOS, am I correct?
I followed this guide how to add Mi Flora sensor
After accessed hassio with SSH I tried to execute these two commands but no luck. https://imgur.com/VoSd8vz
Then I found a program at my Windows PC finding the MAC address at my Mi Flora.
I then added this config to my configuration.yaml to see if bluetooth automagically worked even if no command works and the addon ins missing.
sensor:
I think when they removed the bluetooth addon for HassOS it disappeared from the addon-store, as it is no longer needed for that OS. Like you, I have been using ResinOS and could not install bluetooth anymore.
Yesterday I migrated to HassOS. It seems stable enough and working well, but the boot time is probably twice if not three times longer. I might consider going back to ResinOS again, but at the same time I’d really like to have bluetooth.
Ok strange that they think that all want to upgrade to the latest and not just make a check for all addons what OS is running and if it compatable or not. What do you mean with boot time? When you make some change in config and then restart HA process or rebooting the whole Pie? If it is restarting the whole Pie that’s not a problem, not happens so often.
Bought a new SD-card and installed HassOS 1.10 and then restored to my snapshot. Everything old working and data from my Mi flora was visible in HA. Thanks for the help
