This is i a feature request, to a get a remote control sensor
(Production Capabilities | Developer Documentation | SmartThings) added to SmartThings - Home Assistant
Use case
We can use that sensor triggering automations in our Home Assistant.
My specific usecase
I have a Samsung washer, that I currently integrate with SmartThings Custom integration (GitHub - veista/smartthings: A fork of the Home Assistant SmartThings Integration. This adds better support for Samsung OCF Devices.). This works fine, but is no longer actively maintained, like the official third party integraiton. But - the official one has a major flaw in my opinion.
For my usecase, I use that sensor to trigger calculation of cheapest washing window and scheduling a start - I haven’t found any other stable way to this up to 12 hours prior, since in my experience, the Washer completion time sometimes changes, due to time passing.
The SmartThings Custom Integration offers this like a true/false sensor.
