Add-ons (Apps) don't start on boot

I’ve noticed some inconsistent behaviour with some add-ons lately. Despite having “Start on boot” enabled, some apps (Zigbee2MQTT and Open Thread) fail to initialise automatically after a Home Assistant restart. I’m forced to go in and start them manually each time.

Has anyone else encountered this? I’m looking for a permanent fix or a way to ensure the boot sequence triggers correctly for all add-ons.

System info
Mini PC with 16GB RAM running ProxMox
HA OS VM, Supervised (8GB RAM)
NextCloud VM (2GB RAM)
Immich LXC (assigned 4GB RM)

After a HA reboot. What does the log show for those apps?

same problem here with rtl_433 app, it says its starting but then stops.
if I toggle the Starton boot option from on to off to on again, it seems to fix the problem.
only noticed this issue since 2026-3-1.
not sure if the fix above is permanent or whether it will fail again in future, I will monitor and update as necessary.
