I recently got a Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor but can't seem to figure out how to get it added to Home Assistant.
Scanning the QR code on the sensor itself reveals this string:

I've followed the Installing and using Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor guide on Ring's website but that seems to also point towards using the Ring app. I have also tried manually adding it by pressing and holding the setup button but that does not seem to cause it to pair to HA either.
Is there any way I can add this to my Home Assistant similarly to how the regular (non-outdoor) sensors are added (code/qr)?
I want to say this is possible because there are other posts on the forums (Help with Ring Outdoor Sensor) that mention outdoor sensors.
Thank you for taking a look!
Edit: I am using the ZWA-2 to connect the sensor to Home Assistant via Z-Wave.
I have 4 of those outdoor sensors. I use a Ring Protect Alarm system (zwave hub) so all mine were setup using the Ring app, and then use ring2mqtt to bring them into HA. I’m guessing you are using a zwave adapter connected to HA and not the Ring Alarm base station?
I won’t be able to help you troubleshoot I suspect, but at least wanted to confirm they do import into HA, at least through the Ring Alarm Hub.

Sorry and thanks for reminding me- I forgot to mention that I am using the ZWA-2 to connect the sensor to Home Assistant.
I have been able to do this with the indoor contact sensors successfully in the past using their QR codes but oddly enough that same method doesn't work for the outdoor sensors
Why are you posting your code for everyone to click?
I just bough the same outdoor sensors and I cannot add them with Z-Wave. The other indoor sensors work great and were easy to add.

Not sure there's anything anyone would be able to do with my sensor's code and I thought it might assist in troubleshooting if there's a valid Z-Wave ID encoded in that QR code URL
Bump, hoping someone might have some insight into this
Are you sure it's the Z-Wave version? The newest version is not, it uses Amazon Sidewalk (wifi).

I think this may have been my issue all along looking at my order history:
I will try purchasing the same sensors on Ebay to see if I have better luck there- will report back after testing.
It would appear that the newer version of the Ring Sensors (mine said "new" in the listing) do NOT support Z-Wave as you mentioned.
I purchased an older version on Ebay and can confirm I can add them as if they were regular contact sensors.@vco2000
Thanks for your help @freshcoast !
