How long does it last? Mine’s been over 24 h without expiring.
Lately it has been expiring within a day but it has last longer. It’s random i think, I’m not sure what makes it expire quicker…
Mine lasted 10 days before dropping.
Hi,
Colleagues, this is probably a trivial question, but where can I get jsessionid?
I’ve been reading it and I don’t think I fully understand…
Where to get entry_id?
Here:
I tried to install this fork and got errors right at the start… Does this still work for you? How did you generate the code needed in the configuration?
I was able to redownload and reinstall. The jsessionid source is described in GitHub, not sure what I can add to it to help.
I’ve just discovered this repo. It works perfectly. Thank you!!
it works, BUT:
my problem is, that the smartthingsfind.samsung.com shows older devices and not the changes or updates I made since a few month now. instead, samsung seems to convert so samsungfind.samsung.com which correctly shows all updates devices and localizations.
and there is not JSESSIONID value in samsungfind.samsung.com
My smarttag devices now don’t show up in smarttingsfind.samsung.com at all. They only show up in samsungfind.samsung.com. They don’t show up in the tomskra fork of the smartthings find intergration. In uTag, this problem along with the JSESIONID lifetime issues don’t exsist. I have very limited knowledge about coding, but I do have a feeling some things could be learnt from uTag.
I’m working on the new integration for SamsungFind web. But I don’t have enough time for finishing it.
You are awesome. No need to hurry yourself! Thanks for your great work ![]()
Thank you for keeping this working!
My two cents on poking with existing code:
- Seems Samsung drop ‘CHECK_CONNECTION_WITH_LOCATION’ update operation support. It now returns “resultCode”:“02” and does not result in ops array update.
- When split into two update operations: ‘CHECK_CONNECTION’ and ‘LOCATION’, it starts working, but with one caveat: update operations are returning “result” right away, but, in fact, are taking some time to finish on a backend (about 5 seconds as I’m observing), so subsequent immediate call to setLastSelect.do ends up returning previously-stored values. As a dirty workaround I just added 15 seconds delay in between and it started working as expected.
So here are my code, hope it would help:
...
update_payload1 = {
"dvceId": dev_id,
"operation": "CHECK_CONNECTION",
"usrId": dev_data['usrId']
}
update_payload2 = {
"dvceId": dev_id,
"operation": "LOCATION",
"usrId": dev_data['usrId']
}
csrf_token = hass.data[DOMAIN][entry_id]["_csrf"]
try:
active = (
(dev_data['deviceTypeCode'] == 'TAG' and hass.data[DOMAIN][entry_id][CONF_ACTIVE_MODE_SMARTTAGS]) or
(dev_data['deviceTypeCode'] != 'TAG' and hass.data[DOMAIN]
[entry_id][CONF_ACTIVE_MODE_OTHERS])
)
if active:
_LOGGER.debug("Active mode; requesting location update now")
async with session.post(f"{URL_REQUEST_LOC_UPDATE}?_csrf={csrf_token}", json=update_payload1) as response:
_LOGGER.debug(f"[{dev_name}] Update request1 response ({response.status}): {await response.text()}")
pass
async with session.post(f"{URL_REQUEST_LOC_UPDATE}?_csrf={csrf_token}", json=update_payload2) as response:
_LOGGER.debug(f"[{dev_name}] Update request2 response ({response.status}): {await response.text()}")
pass
_LOGGER.debug(f"[{dev_name}] Start waiting updates to complete")
await asyncio.sleep(15)
_LOGGER.debug(f"[{dev_name}] End waiting updates to complete")
else:
_LOGGER.debug("Passive mode; not requesting location update")
async with session.post(f"{URL_SET_LAST_DEVICE}?_csrf={csrf_token}", json=set_last_payload, headers={'Accept': 'application/json'}) as response:

Hey guys,
I published a new SmartThings Tag integration for Home Assistant, inspired by @tomskra’s repo. It works the same way as U-Tag and uses the API instead of a JSessionID.
You can also start & stop the ring function over this.
Currently, only tags are supported.
Seems to be very perspective, thanks for your effort! ![]()
How your integration is supposed to be configured? The instruction reads “Click the provided link”, but where can I find that link? Should it be a part of configuration dialog?
Just to say that this worked very well for me today. Thank you so much
Thank you for your work @PixelShober
I’ve just added the integration to my instance and it connected without issues; however, it seems it only finds trackers from one of my SmartThings homes/locations.
Is there a chance you could take a look at it to see if perhaps multiple homes could be handled?
Thanks!
Hi, installed and got to the dev tool… question about the URL after ms-app.
should I copy from right before ms: (‘) to end (’)? or portion/bolded below? didnt work! not sure what I need to use.
edited for security reasons:
body onload=“window.location.href=‘ms-app://bbbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnchhhhhhhhhhhhh-of-numbers?code=some_code&api_server_url=some_api_number&auth_server_url=some_number&retValue=some_value&code_expires_in=300&state=some_state_number&status=new’;”>
Ok, so I figured out by mistake. I double clicked the line that had the ms-app, and it selected a partial part of the code on its own. That did the trick.
