I have a Solax inverter X3 with a pocket LAN v3.0 network adapter. This works with the Solax app and cloud environment.
I want to add the Solax inverter to my HA. Installed the integration, but cannot seem to get it added. I know the local IP address, but don’t know what port and password to use.
Does anyone have this working and knows what to enter to add te integration-item?

Did not find a solution yet. Tried the code on the packetLAN but that did not work.
The integration page for Solax does not help and I did not find any useful hints in this forum.
Only talks about the wifi dongle, but I cannot use that. It is unprotected and “blaring” out a wifi network without any protection. It’s an invite to get hacked, so I used the pocketLAN instead.
Hi. Any update? I got new Solax with Pocket LAN and struggling with integration. 
I think version 3 (black housing) ditched all local exposed data and solax’ enshittification reached cloud only level. 
But with hardware for around $5-15 (depending on wifi/ethernet connectivity) you can build your own “pincho” 
and get full local control back

Absolutly unnecessary.
Just use Wlan or new Lan-Wlan Dongle.
Look into your routers Network and locate “espresif” and its IP. Set espresif to fixed IP.
Use the SolaX Modbus Integration from wills installed at HA by HACS.
Set up the Integration and use its IP , TCP Ethernet and Port 502 and let that 15 seconds intervall and other Stuff untouched.
Connection by Modbus TCP
After saved and HA Restart you get about 190 to 280 entiies depending at your Solax system and/or hooks at the Solax configuration.
If you need to connect multiple times to SolaX Modbus, you need Modbus Proxy Addon.
The Proxy connects to SolaX Dongle and shares the Modbus Data systemwide at HA to whatever might want tu use its Data.
That’s how I set up my 2 systems at 2 locations.
Working like a charm since the black Wlan Dongle V3 and too with the new black Lan/Wlan Dongle, sold widely to find at webshops down about 38 Euro
I tried this, but no succes with the pocket LAN v3.
The integration is stuck at ‘initialising’.
That’s nice to get an idea but a fixed 15 seconds (pull) interval doesn’t help for load control/maximize self consumption.
Depends. If you only want to know the (total) energy production the official (in software limited) ~40 Euro sticks should cover your needs - if you need more for less, I got a esp32 ethernet board for 10 Euro shipped and just use the previous linked firmware for full local control 
and ownership (My solar doesn’t delivery my metrics to other peoples computers anymore 
).

I use the solax modbus integration. However I have been able to solve the problem with another Solax V3 dongle. Don´t know what was wrong, both dongles were at the latest version.
However there was a recent update of the modbus integration, so it might be that that actually solved the issue.
There is a ESPHome component that works with GitHub - wills106/homeassistant-solax-modbus: SolaX Power Modbus custom_component for Home Assistant (Supports some AlphaESS, Growatt, Sofar, Solinteg, Solis, SRNE, Swatten) if this helps anyone.
The Pocket Lan Dongle v3 is working for local access with the newest firmware.
But the firmware can be updated only logged in to the cloud through the Solax support.
And with the actual FW (don’t know the version but it’s the newest on 1.11.2025) this Dongle causes connection errors every few minutes when using it in HA with wills106 homeassistant-solax-modbus.
So I think it’s better to not use this Dongle at all.
Very much sounds like it. Sad to see solax steering torwards enshittification. 
For now I will stay with my pincho which just works 
Your linked pincho solution is not working on my X1 Hybrid G4, X1 Mini G4 also. Inverter GUI freezes when I plugin the dongle. imho the project seems to be outdated and the source is not really trustworthy.
I would recommend to go with the Solax WiFi+Lan DongleV3 or a custom Modbus bridge like the one from rosenrot00, tasmota or the waveshare solution.
But everyone how he likes best.
