Add VA as a unit for instant consumption

Electricity instant consumption should be expressed in VA unit and not kW which is not appropriate.

VA is the unit for apparent power. Power meters measure real power (W) by calculating the product of the time integrals of voltage and current for AC.

Indeed . But I’m not refering to a power meter, I’m refering to the main AC counter that is hosted by the energy company, EDF in that case, which telemetry delivers VA (which is the correct unit) and not kW. So to my view, VA should be added to the supported units

It is already available. You need to apply the apparent power device class (unit: VA) instead of the power device class (unit W) to your sensor, See: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/sensor#device-class.

If this is a core integration it needs to be fixed.

If it is a template / rest sensor you need to do it yourself.

If it is a 3rd party integration then you need to take it up with the developer. Those are not covered by WTH month.
