I don’t know how much time I have wasted following topics that were out-dated. Please add the Year along with the month and date in the right hand side of the topics as noted in the attachment. Thank you.
Hmm, for me it does show the year (and month, no day) if it’s older than the current year (see screenshot below). However I would really like it if the display was consistent, always showing the day, month, AND year, no matter when the post was made.
Interesting, maybe there are preferences somewhere…I will look around.
I believe the appearance of a post’s date is a global setting in Discourse (the software that creates this community forum) and is under the administrator’s control.
Thanks Taras, this answers the issue of not being able to find any preferences.
It is confusing because for recent dates you get Jun 17 but if it was in June 2017 you get an apostrophe Jun '17. Hard to see at a glance.

I later learned that if you hover over the date, it will show the full date, year, month, date and time…
