Adding Aqara M3 hub to Home Assistant - benefits?

Hi.
What will adding an Aqara M3 Hub to Home Assistant give me?
I'm already running Aqara devices on Z2M

I'm thinking maybe it can / will function like the Philips Hue Hub does for Hue Devices: Providing firmware updates, creating scenes etc

Can the M3 hub do the same for Aqara Devices?
Map rooms for the FP300 for example? This cannot be done in Z2m.

And not least; the reason I started to look into this is to expand my network with Thread / Matter, and my understanding is that Aqara M3 Hub can function as a Thread Border Router as well.

Is all of the above plausible?

Thanks

Z2M already allows you to update firmware & create scenes, so the only point remaining is if you want to to use the M3 or something else as a Thread Border Router.

I vaguely remember something about their microwave presence sensors being more configurable via their own hub and app.

Not sure about the WiFi ones, but certainly not the zigbee ones.

Have the FP300 in Z2M & the list of options is massive.
