Hello All !
My first post so apologize …
HA rev 2024.3.3 on a RPI
I try to setup an access to my HiveMQ cluster (ending with s1.eu.hivemq.cloud) with no luck since days
As I plan to migrate from Domoticz in a near future, my 1st contact with HA is not so fluent
I fill everything in the web UI as stated, broker address, Port 8883, credentials and tick Advance Configuration
In Advance Configuration (this is more tricky …),
I am NOT ticking “Use a client certificate”
HiveMQ provide a certificat from Letsencrypt (isrgrootx1.pem) but no Key and I dont know wher to put it
“Broker certificat Validation” is set to OFF
“Ignore broker certificate validation” is set to ON
MQTT Protocol is set to 3.1.1
MQTT transport is set to TCP
And all this end with Connect Failed
I am new on HA but this config works in MQTT Explorer and my Domoticz so I run out of idea
Is there someone who already connect to HIVEMQ (not the public server but the personnal cluster offered for free)
Many thanks for your help in advance

I am also having trouble. Ever figure this out?
After several hours trying I got this to work. Nobody seems to have updated the documentation
- On first GUI screen in HA
Enter Broker
Enter Port (8883 for HiveMQ)
Enter Username (You create this in HiveMQ Credentials)
Enter Password
Then select Advanced option
On Second Screen
Broker Certificate Validation set to Custom (Key Step)
Then upload the HiveMQ certificate you downloaded from lets encrypt
I set to MQTT 5 protocol
What am I missing here?
I don’t get any “advanced option” when installing the MQTT service…
I feel like I have tried everything but so far unsuccessful with both HiveMQ and EMQX…
