Adding Magic Home to HA

Hi, I am pretty much a beginner with HA. I have had it installed for a while but since I am not a coder haven’t done much till recently. I purchased some smart outlets on Amazon that the seller said will work with HA via the Magic Home integration. I found that integrating but when I install it it asks for a host but I have no idea what to put there. I tried it without a host it said it will find devices without a host but it didn’t. What goes in the space for host? Thanks

Have first initialised your outlets with the Magic Home app?

Never heard of Magic Home, but there’s hundreds of integrations…
What brand are the outlets? Are they Zigbee or WiFi?

Sounds like WiFi and therefore I guess the devices needs to be set up first with the magic home app and then they can be added to HA

I use this integration.

I cannot remember too well the steps I had to take to get my devices on HA, unfortunately.

You have to make sure the devices are on your network first. This might entail following some vendor instructions.

HA should then auto discover it. If not, find the IP of the device on your router and enter it manually in the host field. It would then be good to reserve the IP on your router to ensure it doesn’t change in future.
