Hi all
I’ve browsed the web thin without any luck of finding a solution…
I have a RFXtrx433E device:
Firmware version = 1043
Firmware Type = Pro2
I have two remotes that I need to get in to Home Assistant.
Remote for a Falmec hood
Keyfob for a chimney exhaust.
The Falmec Hood:
I can control it without any issues via RFXmgr, transmitting from the Fan tab:
18-02-2021 07:11:51:906= Fan command: 08 17 08 03 00 00 04 0A 00
Packettype = Fan
subtype = Falmec
Sequence nbr = 3
ID = 4 decimal:4
Command = Light On
Signal level = +10 dBm
18-02-2021 07:11:52:291= 0402010300
Packettype = Receiver/Transmitter Message
subtype = Transmitter Response
Sequence nbr = 3
response = ACK, data correct transmitted
But i cannot find how to determine the event ID to add it to Home Assistant?
For the Keyfob for the exhaust fan :
Using undec on and Keeloq enabled, the device reads:
18-02-2021 07:14:18:079= 1C2100011DDF6C449D4A1E10001C067C4658434F4D0000000000000079
Packettype = Security2
subtype = Classic KeeLoq
Sequence nbr = 1
id1 = 1D
id2 = DF
id3 = 6C
id4 = 44
id5 = 9D
id6 = 4A
id7 = 1E
id8 = 10
id9 = 00
battery level = OK
Signal level = 7 -64dBm
18-02-2021 07:14:18:217= 0C030102404704C9DD46AD04A3
Packettype = UNDECODED RF Message
UNDECODED ARC:404704C9DD46AD04A3
As this is rolling code, I have not succeded getting RFXmgr to transmit the signal - and again wouldn’t know how to define the event ID?
Really hope you can help me getting this to work.
Thanks alot in advance
I’ve only got LightwaveRF and X10 kit and found this really helpful

Thanks - but I have been over the official documentation over and over again without any luck, but doesn’t help with the above types, as they’re not described.
Do you have the logging set to debug and what do you see in HA logs when you press your fobs ?

I do have:
logger:
logs:
RFXtrx: debug
set in configuration.yaml
but I cannot find a way to filter the logs to see the debugging of the RFXtrx device only?
I just tail -f the log file and hit the buttons - I’m guessing the logs via the menus will give you the same if you scroll to the bottom. Other then RFXtrx debug rows the log file is pretty quiet

Not sure what you mean by that?
My logs more or less adds 25 new lines every second. I tried installing the log viewer and they’re rolling across the screen…

Having the same issue adding a remote.
This is what I get from the logs so HA is detecting the fob OK…
2021-09-23 23:54:42 DEBUG (Thread-3) [RFXtrx] Recv: 0x1c 0x21 0x00 0x01 0x84 0xdb 0xc1 0x91 0xb2 0x6a 0x1d 0x20 0x00 0x74 0x20 0x52 0x46 0x58 0x43 0x4f 0x4d 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x69
Any suggestions how I add this as a device?
thanks,

Did you managed to get the Falmec remote working with the RFXtrx433 integration?

Did you manage to control a Falmec hood? I am thinking about the Levante but first want to know if it is controllable.
