Adjusting the brightness of the lights in Home Assistant does not actually apply to the Aqara lights

Adjusting the brightness of the lights in Home Assistant does not actually apply to the Aqara lights.

It seems that it has not been applied since the Akara M2 hub was updated.

The update version of M2 Hub is 4.3.7_0036.0652

I think I have the same issue and now adjusting the brightness of my Aqara Ceiling Light T1M is not working. It works sometimes (like if I click many times on the same brightness level). On/off and color temp work without issues.

It all started after I updated the Aqara M2 Hub to 4.3.7_0036.0652 (same as above). Worked before without issues… It is integrated as a HomeKit device.

My gosh, I spent the whole night testing before finally finding out why Home Assistant can’t control the brightness of my light strips. After repeated tests and comparisons, I discovered:

The same light strip works fine on the Aqara M1S — I can adjust brightness in HA (firmware version: 4.3.6.0029.0024). But on the M2, it doesn’t work (firmware version: 4.3.8.0021.0652)!

I hope HomeKit connector can be adapted for this. Thanks!
