AduroSmart ERIA Smart Wireless Switch Remote - Dim Up / Dim Down Not Working?

Hey all - I’ve been using this remote for our living room lamps with and it’s been really good so far:

I have a Conbee II USB stick and am using ZHA in HomeAssistant 2022.4.0 running in a Docker container.

The remote is working - but only halfway. The on and off buttons work, but my automation is no longer triggering on the Dim up and Dim down buttons. I’ve dug into the automation, done the trigger debugging, and it isn’t getting the events to trigger. I’m not very familiar with Zigbee/ZHA - I’m primarily using Shelly devices and WiFi for my home automation needs - could someone help point me in the next direction of trouble shooting?

I’ve tried a few basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Reset the remote
  • Replaced the battery
  • Removed and re-paired the device from ZHA
  • Tested out a new automation, creating it directly from the device itself on the “Dim Up” function

im having the simiar issues as you are. i have done the smae steps as you.

orginially i was using a blueprint for my automations. when using the blueprint only I/O would work, dim_up and dim_down would not trigger anything. i then created automations for each button. with individual automations, only dim down would not work.

So, it turned out to be a bug in Home Assistant! The 2022.4.0 release broke something with dimmer commands, and it was fixed again in 2022.4.3. As soon as I updated to 2022.4.3, everything started working perfectly again with that switch/remote.
