I’m new to HA and I can’t see the advanced mode switch in my options. Can’t find anyway to modify my settings to have it either. Using it on windows with virtual box, all my configurations are as recommended by HA website.
Advanced mode was removed a version or 2 ago, a user being set to administrator status now accomplishes the same thing.
Is it the same thing with add-ons? I can’t even install regular apps too, they are loading loading indefinitely.
Administrator role in user settings is the same as the deprecated Advanced mode across the board, are you sure your logged in as an administrator user?
I think you’re confusing terminology ‘Apps’ are what used to be called ‘Add-ons’ and have their own section in settings, anything else added to HA would be an ‘integration’ and are listed in the Devices and services section.
What exactly are you trying to do and how are you doing it?
I want to setup HA to control some device and features of my house. I tried to install apps like music assistant and it just never start dowloading.
I want to use some add ons as well to personalize my dashboard but can’t find a way to access them.
The youtube videos I watched are probably too old but the add on section is the setting.
Add-ons are now called apps. Settings → Apps.
This is a prime example of read the docs first, then follow youtube guides. This will inform you of things that may have changed. HA evolves so fast just about any guide over 6 months old is out of date, the comments on that guide may help if you read them.
