Advice about light switches

I’ve tried searching the forum, but did not really find an actual awnser yet. I’m moving into a new house in a few months and am making a plan for the home automation.

At the moment I have several zwave micro modules behind my light-switches. This works fine, but I’m not sure this is the way I want to proceed.

In my new home I will have to replace all light switches and I’m thinking of buying Zigbee or zwave light switches in stead of the micro modules. I also want to replace all the light switches in the house to have it all connected in the same way.

Is there anyone that has some advise or tips on this. The current switches are standard Bush Jaeger switches. I’m curious how you guys solved this?

Firstly check whether there is a neutral line behind every light switch you want to change.

If you go with that route, get a lot of spare switches. After few years you don’t find the same model anymore to replace some broken ones and your walls will look like a mess.
