Advice on adding devices to Tuya Local

I have just installed Tuya Local from HACS and have successfully added a number of Tuya devices. These are mainly Wi-Fi plugs and a few Wi-Fi relays. Those I could successfully add, I did my going to the device properties in the Tuya app and found the Mac address. I then used arp -a from command prompt to find the IP address from the arp table.
However a number of devices do not list their Mac address in the app so I cannot find the IP address to enter into the device IP address field.
Have other found this with some Tuya devices and is their another way to find either the Mac or IP address.

Secondly what is strange is that the Tuya Local integration finds some devices and correctly enters their IP address. If I ping the IP I get a answer so I know its live. However the IP address in this instance does not appear in the arp table, nor does it appear in a network IP scanner like Advanced IP Scanner. I cant work out why its not visible on my network.

Look in your router to find IP addressees.

The Wi-Fi on my router is turned off so I cant see IP address allocation to Wi-Fi devices only wired. For Wi-Fi I have a TP-Link Omada mesh network. The router still provides DHCP service though.

The answer is the DHCP tables.

Nope No DHCP table. ISP router is too basic for that :joy:
That’s why I was using ARP table Any other suggestions

Then I guess it gives out IP address at random.

You need to find your wifi Devices mac in your Omada Controller, and click on each connected Devices to get it’s details

Thanks why didn’t I think of that :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
