Advice on how to create "a virtual" cover device

Hi,

I want to create “virtual cover devices” which blend two systems:

  • Somfy covers via Overkiz integratoin (locally)
  • Homematic cover actors via the new Homematic integration (HACS, locally)

I want to define a “meta” cover device:

  • Cover status from somfy
  • Close/Open functionality via somfy
  • Close/Open events (button up/down long/short) from homematic wired up to the somfy actions

How to go about this? Virtual devices/entities? Automations?..

I would highly appreciate hints on where to start to look into. Thank you!
