Whilst I have notifications set up these sometimes get ignored - such as put the rubbish bin out, school football training tomorrow etc. Is there a way of having a scrolling panel, maybe led, where an automation could trigger a message to scroll across? Any ideas what I could use for this if so? Thanks.

I made this 1M scrolling LED sign using an Arduino UNO (to control the WS2812B LEDs) and an ESP8266 (to connect via WiFi/MQTT) years ago for my shop. Is this what you have in mind?
Receives messages via MQTT that specify scroll speed (down to zero for static message), colour and the text message itself.
Just haven’t posted it up because the code is very crude. Been working for at least 6 years now.
