I’ve got a few Aeotec ZW187 recessed door sensors in my house, and with the update to 2026.3.4*, the HA devices now have a new sensor called “Open” that appears as a lock. This is in addition to the already existing sensor that showed (and still shows) the open/close status of the door. The new sensor shows value “Locked” when the door is closed and “Unlocked” when the door is open. Was this an expected change? I suppose I’ll just hide the new superfluous/misleading sensor, but I did wonder if this affected anyone else . . .
*Could have happened in an earlier update, but I haven’t had time to deal with the new overview thing until now.
OK, I think it’s solved enough by ignoring the extra “lock”. Making it invisible hasn’t had any further side-effects on my side. Was this documented? I thought I read something recently about a z-wave change that might have been related to doors in a release announcement, but now I can’t find it and I wonder if I was just dreaming/hallucinating it . . .
