Aeotec zwave plug ghosts for a few hours then shows up again

Hello all!

First a short description of hw. So i have HA running on an old intel nuc with a zigbee (sonoff zigbee 3.0 usb dongle plus) and an aeotec z-stick (ZW090). The plug in question is a smart switch 7 (ZW175). Farthest node is the plug, 10m or so away from the machine running ha. (One story house, brick walls, plasterboard ceiling with ~40cm of insulation. Machine running HA is in the attic, the plug is in one of the rooms.

Dont really know why but randomly the plug decides to not send any data (my main server is hooked to it so it should at the very least report the steady increase in consumed electricity) for a few hours then i see a sharp jump in values when it decides to resume sending data. Have 2 home energy meters on the same network and those never do this…

Any ideas what could cause this?

Oookay the plot thickens. The device itself never drops the connection (posted too late so i couldnt view the logs for the time period for the missing reports for the previous time it did it), it just does not report anything to HA. I can ping it and even turn the LED on it on/off (my main server is hooked up to it so i wont test the mains on/off)…
And this might be a coincidence but after i poked it a few times (ping, turning the ledon/off) it started sending again. Interestingly it recorded proper data during the silence because it sent a consumption value (kWh) that would correspond with the extended line of the previous data.
