After restore of HA backup Signal phone number registration is lost

Hello,
i run HA in that version:
Core 2026.1.3
Supervisor 2026.01.1
Operating System 17.0
Frontend 20260107.2
installed OVA to a Proxmox host.

I use the Signal integration and i tested the backup restore of the HA backup.
Problem is that after restore the backup, the registration of the phone number is gone.
So i need to wait until i can use the phone number again and register this again.
As i have now restored the proxmox image i had taken i can no longer share logs
but i want to check if this expected/normal or is this a failure of the backup?

Assuming you use the Signal addon, and that is included in the backup, I would not expect any problems. The addon config should be in the backup also.

I am not fully sure if you can resture successfully restore without any further action on migrated to another system. I did so a while back, I might have needed to trust the new device again or something like that. I’m not sure if that was after migration or some other thing I did. I did get it working without much hassle though. Have you checked the addon logs?

as i wrote before i used my proxmox image and restore the whole system so no look at the logs.
I followed:

i want to check someone had same issue or can say that this is normal because then i must think on how to backup this.

There’s no reason to assume you can’t but you won’t know what failed unless you checked logs. It might have been as simple as that the addon wasn’t started.

At least i can see the container is started with docker ps -a

Hello,
i have now setup a second HAOS on proxmox, configured signal with another number, created a proxmox backup, delete the VM, install it from scratch again, create my login, area etc. and restored then my backup. This worked fine.
The onboarding restore did fail and i do not know why. At least i know that is works.
