After update from 2022.8.5 to 2022.8.6 or 2022.8.7 all tasmota devices become unavailable

I’m not sure why but under 2022.8.6 or 2022.8.7 all my tasmota devices, connected via MQTT, become unavailable. If I go back to 2022.8.5 (via ha core update --version 2022.8.5) they all start working again.

Is there a config change that I am missing?

Home assistant is running on a VM under ESXi.

Not sure which version it came out in but there is now a Tasmota integration now. Maybe you need to get that installed?

Thanks, yes, I have been using that integration. I am pretty sure it picks everything up through MQTT because i vaguely remember one of my new devices not showing up because I forgot to put the mqtt server in it?

I am running MQTT on a separate server that is not part of home assistant because i was using it prior to homeassistant.

After updating to 2022.8.7 i got no connection to the KNX integration any more!
Restore to 2022.8.7solve the issue but now all my yaml config files are lost!
So i’m not sure if it is a good idear to update to 2022.8.7 at that time.

Hi !
You seem to have a typo in your version numbers.
Anyway, updating HA should never touch your configuration.yaml. I guess you had some issue in your backup / restore process.

If you have troubles configuring the Knx Integration please Open a separate thread for that, so others experiencing a similar problem can find it and chime in.
If you think the knx Integration(or any other) has a bug, please file an issue at GitHub providing as much information as possible for a developer to look into / recreate it.

In every case, before rolling back to a previous version, have a look at your logs and ideally copy the file so you can attach it later to a bug report / thread.

Hi Farmio,

i didn’t now what happend exactly during the restore. It was not a full backup and restore. Next time i will save all the log files before i restore. I*m new to HA so i didn’t now about github. Is that the right place Issues · home-assistant/core · GitHub ?

Kind regards
Lynn

Exactly, this is the place where bug reports should be filed.
Support / configuration questions should be discussed here on the forums.

You can find your logs here in the HA UI: Open your Home Assistant instance and show your Home Assistant logs.

And the whole log file should be found in your config directory. See Logger - Home Assistant

Cheers, i wasn’t sure if it was just me not configuring properly, i’ll try and make a bug report, thanks
