So - I have Bottlecap Daves integration and I have a working Esp32 with RS485 interface that receives and sends data to my Sunsynk Max.
I’m now looking at automations - my question is how? Which is to say which entities should I use to control charging? Do I leave timers set and change Grid enabled appropriately or should I reduce charging power ?
Are there pre existing automations I can borrow ?
Advise please.
@JohnDonovan I am in the same position. Octopus account and Sunsynk integrated into home assistant and now trying to work out how to automate the inverter to charge batteries based on Octopus dispatches. Did you get any further?
As yet no or not really.
I have managed to get a sensor from Bottlecap Daves integration and it seems to be working BUT I’m currently on Cosy so obviously it tells me when a Cosy ‘cheap’ period occurs.
I haven’t made any progress with the ‘and then what’ bit .
I am considering directly changing the Grid Allowed toggle for the relevant time period but that seems a bit clunky !
