Air-q device any good

What about HCHO, did you research this sensor as well? I see a calibrated / compensated HCHO measure on one of your graph, and I’d be very interested in your maths behind it. I have just noticed that it definitely has a strong cross-sensitivity to h2s and would love to know how can i minimize it.

cannot tell you too much about formaldehyde, but it’s in line (ish) with my dyson sensor

also be aware that almost all my previous formulas are messed up since new firmware came out, they probably fixed some stuff and no more aggressive adjusting needed, I should dedicate more time

Thank you so much for the in-depth review. I live in a newly built (within the last 5 years) enclosed home in Dallas, TX USA. My HVAC system manages temp, air filtration and humidity. It has a setting on my thermostats that I can control that sets how aggressive the filtration is and was looking for an air quality sensor to trigger it and found the Air-Q. I purchased 3 for my home - one for an open downstairs space, one for the open upstairs space and one for the primary bedroom. I have a central location in each area identified where I will place the units and they are far from air vents. This is going to be an interesting experiment. I ran into the same thing you did where all of the YouTube videos and forums are all in German. This appeared to be the best fully functional all in one device available with a native integration into Home Assistant.

I’m following the shipping from Germany and my shipment appears to be on its way to the US. With all the tariff and other crap going on here, I’m not sure when these devices will arrive, but I will give an update on my progress.

Thank you for the time you put into this series of posts it is so useful to so many of us.
