Just a huge thank you @smitcoracing for all your help and advice, really appreciate it

When configuring this on the tablet is the size referring to the duct diameter in mm?

Had a read through this thread and canā€™t find anything similar so posting to see if I should raise a bug or not.
Had the AirTouch 5 integrated with my HA for a year or so and itā€™s been great. Unfortunately I had to change my wifi last week (massive upgrade) and now it seems the the device drops out frequently and requires a manual ā€˜reloadā€™ from within the HA UI for it to reconnect.
Iā€™m just not sure if itā€™s a bug with the integration or is it a physical device issue? The fact that a ā€˜reloadā€™ fixes the issue seems to indicate it could be fixed in the integration.
Happy to provide anymore info if it will help. Thanks in advance

hmm what type of network upgrade? what brand

Too late for you now, but maybe for next timeā€¦
When I get a new wireless router, I set it to the same IP address, SSID and password as the old one, then all the devices should connect seamlessly.

There is a known issue with the AirTouch 5 consoles intermittently losing WiFi in some situations. But that normally requires a reboot of the console to bring WiFi back. Thereā€™s a patch for that problem which needs a technician to come out and install.

The fact that a reload of the integration works suggests maybe the problem is something else.

Do you use the built-in integration or the custom integration?

Iā€™m happy to take a look at the logs if you want. Just turn debug logging on from the integration settings page, wait for the issue to occur, then reload the integration and turn debug logging off. Home Assistant will automatically save the log file when you turn debug logging off.

Itā€™s referring to the outlet/duct size and the amount per room. Round ones are easy as the internal size of them is what the duct size is. Square ones can have a combination of necks which suit different ducting.

Iā€™ve definitely rebooted it but sometimes Iā€™ll just touch the screen and see the globe icon with strike through it then it disappears without me doing anything.

Iā€™m not sure I ever tried the built in integration, maybe it didnā€™t have the features I was after?

Awesome - will give debugging a go thank you so much.

I was doing this with my last few but decided against it this time as I think I needed a fresh start. Not sure if it was the right move.

Went TP-Link Omada route. ER706W gateway with an EAP670 AP. Itā€™s enterprise grade but I had so many issues with ISP provided routers, I decided to make sure I got this right.

If you go to the android settings, then go to about.
When the opens up you will see android version, tap on that and the 3rd item or so will say security update and it will have a date of October 2022 or 23.

The systems which have the issue have the 2022 version and I had to update plenty with a SD card patch update to 2023 version which resolved the issue.

All new consoles that had since come out already have this installed and this has been fine for the past 6 months at least now.

I donā€™t really hear of any issues with wifi drop outs these days. Maybe see what security version you have.

5 May 2022! I got the system installed mid last year!
Is it something I can do or do I get the installer to come back out? I actually want him to check out my system anyway as it performs poorly - likely due to the external unit being too close to the fenceline and not allowing the outgoing air to disperse properly

Lodge a warranty request with Airtouch and mention you have wifi drop out issues and someone will either come out and do the SD card or they will replace your console with the new version as yours may have the old wall connector which is problematic also.

The SD card needs to be done in certain way so they donā€™t just send them out.

What state are you in?

How close to the fence is it?, maybe DM a picture of it with some more details about why you think itā€™s working poorly.

Cheers will do

Victoria.

I havenā€™t measured exactly but can do tomorrow. It would be well under a metre. Been through a warranty request with Toshiba already about poor performance - will send more details with pic thank you.

I would have to see how bad it is and what problem youā€™re having in general with it all.
Even knowing the size of the system and a floor plan will help also.

These air diverters do help in places where space is tight, they force the air up and away.

From the charts which track the temperature from each of the sensors, they stopped reporting changes between 3:27 (central unit - toshiba) with the latest reading at 4:15 (theatre).

I then reloaded the integration (I stopped the debugger early morning, then started it just now before reloading).

I took a look at the logs and it looks like your console is getting a new IP address after losing the connection. That prevents the integration from reconnecting until you reload it which triggers discovery again.

Other than fixing whatever is causing the Wifi drop out, Iā€™d recommend setting a static IP address for the AirTouch console. Once you do that the integration should reconnect as soon as the console comes back online.

Turning MAC randomisation off would also probably keep the same DHCP allocation.
