The Airtouch 5 console has 2 applications. AirTouch5 and AirTouch5 Home. Both needed to be uploaded and running to provide port 9005.
Issue sorted by making sure both apps were loaded and updated.
The API used by Home Assistant is only provided by the legacy console app and not the new AirTouch Home.
Generally the legacy app will stay running in the background after the new Home app is launched, but I have seen one case when it seemed to be killed and broke the Home Assistant connection. Since then I have reverted back to running the legacy app as the default on the console.
