Alarm not staying on after closing door

Hi,

I setup an alarm system on home assistant trough zha and alarmo, and while everything else works fine, I have an issue. When I trigger the alarm when it’s armed with a door opening sensor and then close the door, the sirens shutdown. That kind of defeat the purpose of an alarm i guess, so I’m wondering what could be wrong with my configuration ? I looked around internet and found nothing similar. My alarmo setup is pretty basic, I have a single action that, when one of my door sensor when my alarm is armed, trigger some sirens. I have the time the alarm stays on after being triggered set at 10 minutes (last option under each alarm mode).

Thanks for the help !

We need to see your code.

I’m more than willing to provide it, but I don’t knwo where to find it. If you could point me toward it, it would be great  Just so you know I used the basic built-in system of alarmo to setup my alarm. I selected my sensors (3 siren, 5 door detectors) and I programmed an action when the alarm is triggered.

Is your door contact sensor set to “Show as door”?

And in Alarmo, is the sensor set to the same device type?

They were all set on “opening” (or something equivalent as my HA is not in english). I changed them to “door”, but it didn’t change anything.

After further researches I fairly certain of what’s going on. First of all sirens are notriously badly handled on HA, I wasn’t aware of that. Second, my specific siren (HS2WD-E) is known to not expose everything on ZHA and even on Z2M it needs a lot of tweaks to be functional. In Fact for the siren to stay I need to be able to access directly in the siren dashboard a cursor to set the duration when triggered, it’s not done in alarmo. As it’s not visible, I apparently need to use an automation, which is not very simple for a new user like. What a bummer, everything was going smoothly apart from that. I didn’t understand everything in there, but i’ll dive in and see what I can do with my siren. My smoke detectors (FRIENT SMSZB-120) have the same problem, being triggered only for a short time.
